8 x 8 Pony & Livestock Shelter

Our 8' x 8' Pony Shelter is very robust and made out of high quality timber. A lot of field shelter manufacturers use a 16mm or 19mm nominal shiplap, whereas we build our field shelters using a 25mm redwood tongue and groove.

The small pony shelters are suitable for many purposes, they can be used as donkey shelters, alpaca shelters, sheep shelters and storage. We have also had customers use our pony shelters for housing hot tubs. 

The Pent 8' x 8' Field Shelter is 7' high at the front (2.13m) and 6' (1.82m) high at the back. As standard we make the field shelter with the strong framing on the outside and the thick tongue and groove boards on the inside. The reason we make it like this is so that if the pony kicks whilst in the shelter they are unlikely to kick the cladding off. However, we can make the pony shelter so that the 75mm x 50mm framing is on the inside and the boards are on the outside. Some customers also ask us to fit 12mm ply to the inside which we are happy to do. Please select the options below.

This 8' x 8' field shelter can be made into a mobile pony shelter by adding the red oxide painted skids. These are made with very strong steel to ensure an easy tow. The main beams of the skids are made with 100 x 100mm box section and the cross bars are 50 x 50mm bar. We weld tow points onto each corner of the skids so that the field shelter can be towed from each side.

The opening on our 8' x 8' pony shelter is 5' wide. We are happy to alter the size of the opening to suit your needs. We can also supply galvanised metal gates for the shelter or make wooden gates if preferred.

Our field shelters are roofed in genuine black corrugated onduline in their double resin range. If you need a clear roof panel in your field shelter please select the option below when ordering.

We make lots of standard sizes in our field shelters, however they are all made to order. As we custom build all our field shelters, we can make alterations to the design to suit your needs. Please note that our shelters are delivered in flat sections for customer assembly, and we provide pre-drilled holes and all necessary fixings. If assembly service is preferred, consider accessibility for our team's safety, as the panels are heavy.
