The Mackworth is built in 2 sizes. These houses and runs are completely covered with wood and felt over the house and corrugated perspex over the run. The house is built on legs to deter vermin and to allow for easy cleaning. There are 2 drop down shutters that expose the 2 floors in the house. Both these floors can be pulled out to act as retractable droppings boards. There are access doors to the house and the run on the front of the house as well as a sliding ventilation shutter. The perches are raised off the floor in the house. The chicken can be released from the run by a drop down running board that lowers onto the ground.
The back panel of the building is completely boarded for extra protection. The Mackworth house area can be roofed in black corrugated onduline if prefered.

Please note we now make the nest box roof with Stockboard, which is a durable recycled black plastic, instead of wood and felt. This is much better as felt can perish and it can harbour mites under the felt.
This chicken coop is delivered by our team in flat sections for customer assembly. We pre-drill most of the holes to make it easy for you to put together and all the fixings are supplied with instructions. We do not hold a stock of our chicken houses as they are all handmade to order. Therefore there is a delay between order and delivery which varies depending on the time of year.
