Charnwood 50

The Charnwood 50 chicken shed can hold up to 50 hybrid size chickens. It has traditional wooden nest boxes on the front of the hen house and dropping board cleaning shutters at the back. The chicken house is easily cleaned by lifting out the perches, hooking up the cleaning shutters and pushing the droppings out of the hatches into a wheel barrow. The droppings boards can also be lifted out of the poultry house when you need to clean out the floor area.

At the front of the nest boxes there are hinged nest box rails for the birds to jump onto before they get in the nest box, these can be hooked up to shut the birds off the nests at night time if required. On the front of the Charnwood chicken shed there are sliding glass windows for light and ventilation. There is a large pop hole on each end of the house for chicken release and a human access door on one end. The Charnwood large walk in chicken coop is suitable as a domestic or commercial chicken shed.

Wooden skids are standard on this chicken house.

This chicken shed is delivered by our team in flat sections for customer assembly unless the option for assembly is selected. We pre-drill most of the holes to make it easy for you to put together and all the fixings are supplied with instructions. We do not hold stock of our buildings as they are all handmade to order. Assembly - We can offer the assembly service if required, otherwise it is dropped off in sections

Two tier nest boxes to double the amount of nest boxes in the house, free range standard advise one nest box per 7 hens.

Metal skids instead of the wooden skids - If you want a portable hen house which can be moved around these are advisable

Aluminium door - We can change one of the wooden pop hole for an lightweight aluminium pop hole if you intend to open the pop hole with an automatic door opener. The benefit of these is that they are less likely to snag and catch when lifted or closed with an electronic device. 

Chicken guard door openers. We offer the standard which works on time alone, the premium which works on time and light, and the extreme which works on time and light and lifts a heavier door.
